About the Department



HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The department was established in the year 1975. To facilitate better job prospects for the students, the department conducts the utility and value based UGC career oriented program on “Human Rights and values in Education” to the final year under-graduate students from various disciplines of the college.

The Department has been striving to broaden its horizon of knowledge by organizing seminars like Women and Human Rights and Ethical Voting The Department of History with a glorious background now looks forward to implement the subjects that cater to the needs of the students in the current scenario which helps them to appear for various competitive examinations and for their enhancement of personality skills. The faculty members of the department, each specialized in different facets of History is striving in their unique way to motivate and inspire the students to equip themselves to achieve higher goals and to fulfill their ambition. Certificate courses are offered by our department like Tourism and Travel agency also on Human rights and values in Education. The relevance of the curriculum helps to enter into civil service examination offers an opportunity to become a social science Teacher in high school and higher secondary level.

Objectives of the Department

To offer to the students the knowledge about Indian History and World History and help them to become responsible and honest citizens to stand for right values and become an agents of social change.
