Aim of the Course
  • To open a channel of admission for computing courses for students, who have done the 10, 2 and are interested in taking computing as a career.
  • To train the students in basic knowledge in Computer Sciences, particularly in core areas and in developing application programs.
  • To impart sufficient knowledge and skills for writing general application programs.
  • To enhance logical and reasoning capabilities of students.
  • To provide experience of Information Technology scenario.

Innovative Practices



  • The college offers special classes for the slow learners in order to make them understand the subjects thoroughly and clearly.
  • The effective functioning of the mentoring system ensures guidance/counseling and monitors the individual progress of the student.
  • Remedial classes are conducted for the weaker students. Each day a subject is allotted to them. Faculty in-charge of the particular subjects handles the class as per the schedule allotted to them by the department.
  • The lecture method is followed.
  • In addition, the faculty offer demonstration lectures using charts, maps, power point presentation, and projectors.

  • Students and Faculty members from B.Sc. Computer Science visited “Blind School” near Raja Theatre, Vellore on 16.08.2017 and 14.10.2017. Though the Students in the school were visually impaired, they expressed lot of talents. Our Department Students narrated some moral stories for them and taught the importance of education in life. Students enjoyed the visit.
  • The students and faculty members visited “Shalom Home” in GandhiNagar, Vellore on 22nd December 2018.Our students narrated moral stories through which the students are able to gain the importance of education in life. The faculty and Students showed their love by distributing stationary items and motivated them to gain good position in their lives.
