OFFICE OF THE COE

The Office of the Controller of Examinations (CoE) has been functioning effectively since the institution attained autonomous status in 2007. As a key component of the autonomous academic framework, the office is responsible for the planning, coordination, conduct, and continuous improvement of the examination and evaluation processes.

With the grant of autonomy, the institution initiated the automation of examination-related activities, which has been progressively enhanced through the implementation of an integrated ERP system. The CoE ensures the smooth conduct of all examination processes, maintaining transparency, confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to the regulations approved by the Academic Council.

The Office of the Controller of Examinations is entrusted with the conduct of Continuous Internal Assessments and End Semester Examinations, processing of results after the completion of Examinations, and publication of results within ten working days in the College website. The results are presented in the Passing Board Meeting before publication, Grade sheets and other examination-related documents are issued promptly to students.

The CoE also oversees the evaluation and revaluation processes, ensuring fairness, objectivity, and adherence to prescribed norms. The Examination Section is responsible for issuing official academic documents such as Grade Sheets, Provisional Certificates, Consolidated Statements of Grades, and Degree Certificates, incorporating appropriate security features to maintain authenticity and prevent malpractice.

To enhance the quality, reliability, and credibility of the examination system, the Examination Committee periodically reviews examination procedures, evaluation practices, and technological interventions. Recommendations from these reviews are implemented to strengthen examination administration and align it with best practices in autonomous higher education institutions.
